Throughout the repair process, Randy and his staff were knowledgeable, communicative and exhibited a high level of technical competence. I picked up the boat at your docks and drove it down to my home in the Keys. After the major work done on the boat, I expected a few “glitches” over the 150 mile trip. I shopped around and must have seen seven or eight different dealers and as many salesman. Most sales persons were pushing for the 22’ to 24’ category and to a certain point, ignoring my real needs. I saw a small 18’ boat in the yard at SunDance Marine and inquired about the boat and trailer. I met Rick Fanello, who was just starting out as a salesman, and we took a good look at this boat. I decided to keep looking. I must have been to see six or seven similar boats but the Rhino always cam back to mind. Not only the boat, but the way I had been treated by Mr. Fanello. This little story is nothing exceptional, but what is exceptional is the way I was and have been treated by the staff at SunDance Marine. They found me a space at their dry storage area and I am being taken care of with good humor and great advice on the upkeep of my small boat. At the marina, I am being treated as if I had bought a yacht. Many small boats are of the same quality, but the service at SunDance is a little out of the ordinary. When we took delivery of our new Wellcraft 290 Coastal, the salesman Rick made the paperwork a fast part of the delivery and we got down to the nuts and bolts of the transaction. Captain Rich took us through every aspect of the boat to make sure we understood the basic operations of the generator, air, heat, etc. Without question, he is very knowledgeable about these boats and answered every question we had. His willingness to take the time, as long as it took, to get us feeling easy with this boat and to give us his personal cell number to call if we got into trouble, made him a key asset in the SunDance Marine organization. Wanted to write a note thanking you for all you have done for me. I am moving back to SunDance and I’m buying a 32 Wellcraft with 250 Verados. Why? Because last Saturday I went to another dealer and met the sales guy I know there. I also called Scott Grosky at SunDance who I know well from buying my first Donzi. I made it crystal clear to both that I was going to buy soon. The difference between the two organizations is amazing. Scott immediately called me back and said he was interested in my Donzi. The other dealer said everything had to go thru one particular guy, they were not even sure if they wanted to trade and could not give me a price. TO THIS DAY THEY HAVE NEVER CALLED ME BACK – even though I’ve sent them two e-mails asking what is going on… no answer. I would like to highlight the performance of Capt Bill Burke. He explained the systems in the boat and took us for the initial cruise and he performed these responsibilities well, but it was his active interest and participation in the commissioning process to ensure that any outstanding items or concerns were immediately corrected and his availability during our shake down cruises (nights or weekends) that proved invaluable. I am writing this letter to thank Wayne for helping me resolve a major problem quickly and in a very professional manner. I had propeller and outdrive problems right before a planned weekend with my wife. I took it to the marina and Wayne immediately replaced the propeller with another temporarily and assured me that he would take care of the problem as soon as I returned the boat. The repair did not take longer than 10 minutes. The prop and outdrive were repaired when I used the boat two weeks later. I am very satisfied with the customer service I received and will thank Wayne personally when I see him at the marina. Johan B.
